An immature Phallus impudicus, Stinkhorn
and another one
Under the shade of Cretaegus monogyna
Three new Stinkhorns amongst the Violets by the footpath
Opening one reveals a thick spore-laden clear jelly
Longitudinal section reveals the future structure of the fungus
There was a pleasant mushroomy smell, but I did not taste it!
