Since our conception in 1990 with one group located in Norwich,
the increasing demand for our service has led to additional groups
being established in Norwich, Aylsham, Diss, Great Yarmouth, Norfolk
& Norwich University Hospital and Quidenham Hospice
Outreach work is also undertaken and we are now working in
schools and we can be found at other support groups as well.
Visitors to our groups see children and young people taking part in
action songs, interacting with puppets, joining in movement and
dance, playing percussion instruments and relating to the teaching
staff. Any family members, carers, and siblings are able to attend
with their child and fully participate in the music group activities.
We take great pride in the quality of our activities and have highly
talented and well motivated staff. They are assisted by volunteers drawn from all
areas of the community.
Musical Keys help to further the development of children and
young people with special needs and an example of the benefits gained are
included on this web site together with testimonials
from parents.
Parents inevitably derive mutual support from the social
interaction within our groups and we always include a period for
refreshment breaks where parents can discuss their child’s progress
with the staff. We
reinforce mutual support through a number of social events which are
either self-financing or paid by minor fund raising activities.
Presentations and talks can be given to any interested groups
within the community. Please enquire either by telephone: 01603

of our site. |
